Brain waves works
This page is just like NFT. I am doing my best to gradually find and restore it. Early works will be posted gradually on this page if they can be restored or found. I would like to do something about this with the whole effort of me and the PC.
My work is about the brain. How to stimulate the brain has been a source of interest for me so far (for example, Synchro Energizer, Todd Rundgren's screen saver, holophonics sound, etc.), but what kind of brain condition is in response to the stimulus? I've also become interested in things like that. In other words, it can be said that it is the relationship between input and output centered on the brain. In order to do that, we needed a methodology that could be objectively understood by a third party, but new technologies such as computers and electroencephalographs made it possible. This video work uses a part of my diary in my brain wave, but when the alpha wave comes out, a certain sound sounds, and when the beta wave or delta wave comes out, it depends on the strength of the brain wave at that time. Sound is coming out. This allows a third party to objectively understand my feelings with something like music. I named this device Brain Voice. When I use this device, my brain is transplanted into a computer with half an electromagnetic wave. If a lot of people like me come out, the time will come when we can communicate emotions, not information, through networks. Moreover, at this time, the brain itself is the interface, so it will be an era without using a keyboard or mouse. This work is a message to such an era.
From Nikkei Journal
Ateliers often wear a black eboshi on their forehead. It is an electroencephalogram measuring instrument. A computer draws the measured brain waves on an advertisement and a monitor, and at the same time converts them into improvised ambient music. When I entered the human dock, I saw a graph of brain waves that changed unexpectedly regardless of my will, and I was surprised that there was something I didn't even know. Since then, he has been creating CG (computer graphics) works with his own brain waves as a motif.
"I'm opening my brain."
In some of the works, the brain is a representation of the graph as it is, but many of them are meditative, depicting the scene that comes to mind when the measuring instrument is attached. When you close your eyes, you can clearly see the images of the sun-drenched forest, the stream, and the hands that emerge from it, and you can clearly see how the memory that the brain has potential is usually trapped.
"We use our brains to choose ties and build fast trains, but I think it's something else that the brain really wants. So that's how the brain does what it wants and the brain does. I'll make you feel comfortable. I think that's how you can regain the original pace of human beings. " ..
Since ancient times, many painters have drawn self-portraits asking what they are. The graphic that accepts the dreams and waveforms of Noh as it is must be one of the new self-portraits. Nikkei Journal

1 Preamble
A simple computer electroencephalograph is now within reach of us artists. By getting this, I came up with the idea of sampling brain waves. I thought that the waveform of the brain wave would be the most direct emotional description device if some behavior or thought had an influence on the brain wave. If that were the case, beyond the level of the physical body, my soul would be permanently memorized by magnetic devices. Or there is a possibility. I continued to take brain waves as a new form of diary. I decided to take as much as possible on a floppy disk a day, for all the stimuli in my life, short ones for a few minutes and long ones for a few hours. And when I was looking at the floppy disks that were piled up every day, I felt like I was approaching myself in substance.
2 Music by brain waves ... Brain voice
I will explain the mechanism later, but this video work uses a part of the diary in my brain wave, and when the alpha wave comes out, a certain sound sounds, and when the beta wave and delta wave come out, , The sound according to the strength of the brain wave at that time comes out. In other words, the measured brain waves are regarded as a music score, which allows a third party to objectively understand my feelings with something like music. The sound art that comes out of this device is called Brain Voice.
3 Signs of brain waves in the digital age
Besides Brain Voice, I also make CG prints. This CG is not a video, but a print of about 8000 pixels on the left and right of the top and bottom made by 3D ray tracing for picking up and watching or stopping and watching. I like when I make this CG and when I think about ideas, but at such times I measure brain waves. And when it's over, I put the brain waves measured at that time at the end of the picture as a sign of the digital age. In other words, this picture also contains the feelings of some point when I was involved in my picture.

As you can see, my work uses brain waves as a motif, but I think these brain waves will make you travel to the world. Now the brain waves

He sets out on a journey with half his brain transplanted into a computer. Humans will eventually meet and exchange emotions through brain waves. Now I'm playing back my brainwave recordings from six months ago. The coffin of brain waves is that ●. What is spreading there is the feeling of self-confidence that I have passed through in the past. Travel through the memory of half a year's worth of brain waves, and see illusions of the past in a single mental photo surrounding the two scenes you peered into. At that time, past feelings become ●●● and are revived. I step into the era of brain waves as I tour the exchange stairs, watchtowers, and encounter elephants and snakes. At that time,My brain is being trampled into a huge network in a traffic jam that transcends biological timelines.
The items laid out in the cross of the magazine above are two CG art pieces and a coffin of brain waves. This brain wave casket contains 185 Flopi discs, which is a casket that records my brain waves for half a year. This is quite heavy and weighs 60kg without a floppy disk and is about 1m40cm in height. Inside is a floppy delimiter separated by brass. It has a lid and the round window is protected by brass so that my brain waves can't be touched. And I made a hole for the key.
But this is similar to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications SDGs .. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also. This is the goal for 2050. It is a virtual reality world. There will be a world where computers are connected to the brain. Also talk about moon shots. Now, here are the six CGs around the magazine's casket, which were actually drawn by a program called Shade.
